Flavor Flav’s Chicken: OUT OF BUSINESS

Judging by Flav’s Co-Worker, looks like that’s some good eats right there. Can’t imagine why it didn’t succeed…

Grand opening. Grand closing. Flavor Flav and former restaurant partner Nick Cimino closed the doors to their Clinton, Iowa eatery, FFC, over the weekend after just four months in business.

The Public Enemy rap star said he abandoned the company because he wasn’t happy with Nick’s business operations. “The reason why I pulled my license [is] because there was a lot of employees that wasn’t getting paid,” Flav told WQAD.

 Last month, several employees claimed that their FFC paychecks had bounced.

Flav said he was concerned about his reputation. “I gave this man permission to take my name and my life and operate a business,” he said. “I have to do whatever possible for me to save my name. And the only way that I can save my name is to shut the business down because Nick Cimino is not running the business right.”

LAPD Helicopter Forced to Land After Being Shot At

Los Angeles (CNN) — A Los Angeles Police Department helicopter had to make an emergency landing Sunday morning after a gunman opened fire on the chopper, authorities said.

The helicopter landed safely and the pilot and observer on board were not injured, said police Detective Gus Villanueva.

The incident occurred in the Van Nuys area, when police got a call at around 6 a.m. local time (9 a.m . ET) of shots being fired, police said. The helicopter was responding as backup to a patrol car dispatched to the scene.

New England Patriots Safety Brandon Meriweather Accused of Shooting Two During Brawl

New England Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather allegedly shot two men, one of them in the head, during a fight on Feb. 27 outside a house party in Apopka, Fla., according to John Morgan, attorney for the victims.

The trouble started at the Blue Jeans Lounge in Apokpa when a friend of Meriweather’s allegedly beat up a woman, according to Morgan. The woman’s brother arrived later with his own friend, and the conflagration shifted to a nearby party, where the brother soon got the better of Meriweather’s friend in a fight. That’s when Meriweather allegedly pulled out his gun and fired at the brother, grazing the man’s face and hitting the other victim in the head, according to Morgan.

Former Hurricane and current sports talk radio host Dan Sileo appears to be the first to mention the shooting. Until we hear back from the cops, however, these are all just allegations.

Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera: “Shoot Me, Kill Me”

Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera told police to shoot him during his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving on Feb. 16 in Florida, The Detroit News reported in Wednesday.

Cabrera was told by deputies to drop to his knees so they could handcuff him, the newspaper reported.

 He said, “[expletive] shoot me. Kill me,” according to the police report.

Cabrera continued: “Do you know who I am? I’m Miguel Cabrera. I play for the Detroit Tigers. You don’t know my family.”

 

Couldn’t imagine being that drunk that I would tell cops to kill me, I’d be more like “no please don’t send me to jail I’m going to lose out on millions of dollars, I’m sorry.” Don’t drink and drive kids.
