You pitch it, I ditch it.

Cards slugger and 3 time MVP Albert Pujols failed to reach a deal that would keep the 9 time all-star in red and white beyond the 2011 season.

“The deadline for Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals to reach a new contract agreement passed Wednesday with no new deal.  The Cardinals say no more talks will be held until the end of the season. Pujols, a nine-time All-Star, is eligible for free agency after the World Series, raising the possibility the three-time NL MVP may be on the cusp of his final season in St. Louis.”

Over his 10 years as a Cardinal, Albert has averaged…

40 Home Runs

123 Runs Batted In

118 Runs Scored

7 Stolen Bases

.331 Batting Average

Pay this guy whatever he wants and be happy he’s not on another team smashing homers over your fence.
